Our Crowdfundr campaign will launch later this month and will soon unveil exciting rewards, but you don’t have to wait. You can claim them now. Plus, our site offers unique rewards that won’t be available elsewhere, more rewards per contribution, and greater flexibility in choosing how much to pledge. Why? We believe in keeping it simple by putting perks where they should go – into the hands of our contributors. What are you contributing, and what do you want? You’re the contributors, and we’re not handing out made-for-all bundles. No guessing games, and unfortunately, no one over here is psychic, meaning you’re in control.

Mix and match your rewards to create a personalized experience that resonates with you. Contribute any amount within a given range, and you’ll gain access to a selection of rewards. Unlike our official crowdfunding campaigns, where you only receive one reward per contribution, we’re doubling the joy: every contribution comes with at least two rewards! The more you contribute, the more rewards you receive with that single contribution. And you can always select “lower tier” rewards as part of your package because, again, it’s all about you!

Some folks love T-shirts, while others crave credit like a mention in a book’s acknowledgments or to be listed as producers for a number of video podcasts. Some may want to get more creative, like making D. Michael Whelan and/or our authors do the ridiculous on video to make them laugh or dance (terribly) to their favorite tunes. Some people may opt for interactive rewards such as Live Game Night! You, us, playing the ultimate name night: Video calls with D. This podcast is all about being on the fringe, what it means, why and how to own it, and what to do with it. D. Michael Whelan, On the Fringe Press’s authors, and others discuss stories that must be told but are given the boot, whether they’re considered risky or “scary” voices that are more concerned with the truth than being polite about it. We’re weird, whacky, shouldn’t work but do so fabulously. We also tackle topics and boost voices some of our books focus on. Of course!

Michael Whelan and guests call out people, big businesses, and more with a “No, you didn’t. I’m telling the world “Mentality and not holding back. Other times, it’s all about action. Not only a call to action (of course, we make the call), but us getting off our butts and taking action, whether it be helping out in animal shelters, marching (we have experience there) for a cause, volunteering, donating, connecting with others along the way. (We’ll blur out their faces if they are cool being videoed alongside with us, but still want their privacy.) Here, we call out the “baddies,” thank those people who matter and make a difference, and get out there because talk is talk, but action is everything. Contact us if you would like to do both!
  • A manuscript critique (up to 60K words) from D. Michael Whelan. In this critique, Whelan will review your manuscript, leave occasional comments as needed, and write up an extensive analysis of the manuscript, including everything to address before someone moves on to developmental editing.     • You get your own sponsor page for one week, in which you tell us everything you want us to include about yourself, and we’ll write as your spotlight and include it with a picture.

  • Advertising! Ads on our site for up to two weeks so long as your business doesn’t go against our values. (No hate speech, vanity presses, or anything that takes away from an author or reader or promotes exploitation.)
  • Game Night: “Play” funny games with D. Michael Whelan, authors, and yourself. Things such as “Never, have I ever,” “Two truths and a lie,” “B*llsh*t” (who bluffs best, and if you are wrong about someone bluffing… heaven help you). Up to 60 minutes.
  • One Year sponsorship or advertisement on our exclusive podcast, “D. Mich… oh Sh*t, That’s Me.” Talk about being unprofessional. This podcast is like reality TV without barfights, hair extensions or wine. Okay, occasionally I drink wine. Follow me in bizarre, random, emotional, working, doing the hustle and occasionally breaking into 90’s pop music like “Baby One More Time,” while getting water from the fridge. $2,501-$5,000 (Up to Five Rewards)

  • A developmental edit of an entire manuscript completed by D. Michael Whelan, including line edits, margin comments, a separate analysis, and a conversation with them regarding the manuscript. Please see more information about what a developmental edit includes under our services page. ($2,501 up to 65K words, $3,150 up to 75K words, $4,500 up to 90K words. For a custom donation amount based on the number of words in a manuscript, please contact us.)

$5,001 to $10,000 (Up to Six Rewards)
